Recent Years of the Horse: 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014, 2026. The sign returns every 12 years; the next one after 2026 is 2038. In the Chinese calendar the Horse is a label for Wu (午), the 7th of the twelve Earthly Branches. Wu is Yang Fire. It marks the two-hour period of 11 am–1 pm, the south direction, and midsummer.
